Through Another Lens

Bismillahirahmanirahim,

When you have walked upon the journey of tarbiyyah, there will be changes within you.
Changes on the way you dress, the way you act, the way you feel.
It is all in the change in the way you think.
Because insyaAllah, you start to look at the world in a different view.

When you look at the sky, so vast, and reminded yourself that it stands without pillars. Can you even see any faults in His creations?

Who has created the seven heavens one above another, you can see no fault in the creations of the Most Beneficent. Then look again: "Can you see any rifts?"
Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. (67: 3-4)

When you help an old woman carries her groceries to her car because you know it is urged in Islam.

Abu Hurairah reported: Prophet Muhammad said, "Every day the sun rises, charity (sadaqah/saddka) is due on every joint of a person. Administering justice between two people is a charity; and assisting a man to mount his beast, or helping him load his luggage on it is a charity; and a good word is a charity; and every step that you take (towards a masjid) for salat is a charity; and removing harmful things from the road is a charity." (From Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)

As you’re parking your car, you park it properly and not block the way of other people because even ways of parking is explained in the Quran.

And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers." (2:11)

When you are upset and feel as though there is no one in this world that could comfort you, but;

Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured." (13,28)

When you are more sensitive with issues of your brothers and sisters in Palestine, in Syria, Egypt because our hearts are connected by our common aqidah.

And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided. (3:103)

When you know the heart is the indicator of all things. It is created by Allah and likes only what He likes. So if the heart is not at ease when we are doing something that He doesn’t like, is it not trying to tell us?

On the authority of Abu ‘Abdullah al-Nu’man bin Bashir, radiyallahu ‘anhu, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, say:

“Truly, what is lawful is evident, and what is unlawful is evident, and in between the two are matters which are doubtful which many people do not know. He who guards against doubtful things keeps his religion and honour blameless, and he who indulges in doubtful things indulges in fact in unlawful things, just as a shepherd who pastures his flock round a preserve will soon pasture them in it. Beware, every king has a preserve, and the things Allah has declared unlawful are His preserves. Beware, in the body there is a flesh; if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt, and behold, it is the heart.” (Al Bukhari & Muslim)

That you don’t have any right at all to walk proudly on this Earth.

And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height. (17,37)

Because you are only His slaves.

Say: "I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind,
"The King of mankind,
"The Ilah (God) of mankind, (114:1-3)

And this short life on Earth is only a test,

And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test). (29:3)

Make the most out of this short life for an ever-lasting future.

And strive hard in Allah's Cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all your efforts that His Name should be superior). He has chosen you (to convey His Message of Islamic Monotheism to mankind by inviting them to His religion, Islam), and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Abraham) (Islamic Monotheism). It is He (Allah) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Qur'an), that the Messenger (Muhammad ) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! So perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), give Zakat and hold fast to Allah [i.e. have confidence in Allah, and depend upon Him in all your affairs] He is your Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.), what an Excellent Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.) and what an Excellent Helper! (22:78)

Wallahualam.
