Into the deep

I remember the  first few pages of a book by Harun Yahya called Deep Thoughts. He explained how humans are always inclined to stay away from being in " deep thoughts " because they are " deep " and we are not bothered to do something that sounds so tedious. What a mindset that is. But in truth, a true Muslim should always be deep in thoughts about
the universe, why he was created, and many other beings too or how the weather could change so drastically in the summer and winter of Russia or what happens when we leave this world someday.

He sent all of us a very special gift to remind us of these way of thinking, the Quran full of questions to make us think and ponder about the truth. Our eyes are either open and our ears can hear and our hearts are honest and humble or we can be blinded and not see the truth in front of our eyes and our hearts are blackened and would not accept the mightiness of Allah

And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers."
[But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly.
(2:14-15)

In the Quran, Allah S.W.T. also mentioned a lot of pleasantries and blessings that He has given, the trees and the seas, how he has created us. Family and friends. Food and even the oxygen. Iman and Islam. And many, many more that trying to count every single one of your blessings would take on forever. But counting them and appreciating them makes us humble and not forget as He has reminded, fabiayyi ala irabbikuma tukazziban

So, ( O mankind and Jinn ), which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? (Ar-Rahman)

It is crucial then that we read the Quran with our hearts and try to understand the meaning than purely just reciting it. There are many stories with many lessons like how the kaum Ad and Samud were punished for not listening to the calls of their following Nabi Hud and Nabi Salih

But if they turn away, [say], "I have already conveyed that with which I was sent to you. My Lord will give succession to a people other than you, and you will not harm Him at all. Indeed my Lord is, over all things, Guardian."
And when Our command came, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us; and We saved them from a harsh punishment.
And that was 'Aad, who rejected the signs of their Lord and disobeyed His messengers and followed the order of every obstinate tyrant.
And they were [therefore] followed in this world with a curse and [as well] on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, 'Aad denied their Lord; then away with 'Aad, the people of Hud.
(11:57-60)

Also, Most of us would probably know that the reasons we are sent to this world is of 2 main things, to perform ibadah to Him and to be khalifah of this world. And a few of us could even recite the Quran excerpts that prove this,

I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me. (51:56)

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know." (2:30)

But how many of us truly ponder on these obligations, obligations so big that even the mountain refused

Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant. (33:72)

How important it is that we carry out these obligations for it is us that need Islam in our life and Allah can replace us any time should we decide to forget it altogether as in the sura Muhammad, ayat 36And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you.

Spain was once at the top of the Islamic world and now there are only traces of buildings and histories of it, forgotten. It could happen to you too.
